Labelography
This page lists the major label variations for RCA Living Stereo classical records pressed in the United States, from their first release in 1958 until the late ’60s. Dates are approximate.
Shaded Dog (1958-1959)
Small “Living Stereo” at bottom.
Shaded Dog (1959-1960)
Large “Living Stereo” at bottom, “Trade Marks” spelled out at bottom left.
Shaded Dog (1960-1962)
“TMK(s)” at bottom left.
Shaded Dog (1962-1964)
No “Stereo-Orthophonic High Fidelity” beneath dog. Later version has only “Stereo” instead of “Living Stereo” at bottom.
Dynagroove Shaded Dog (1963-1964)
Dynagroove logo at bottom. Later version has only “Stereo” instead of “Living Stereo” on either side of Dynagroove logo.
Soria Series (1962-1968)
No dog on label. May also say “Stereo” instead of “Living Stereo” at bottom. Soria Series had deluxe packaging and fancy booklets.
White Dog (1964-1968)
No shading behind dog. Later version has “Stereo Dynagroove” instead of “Stereo” at bottom, then “Stereo Dynagroove Miracle Surface” appears on last version.

Not all Soria releases had the “No Dog” label. Some have the Shaded Dog.
You’re exactly right, Jack. Thanks for the contribution!
Hello…I have some records that have different labels than shown in your labelography…such as the trademark is right above the center hole…no mention of RCA…also says Hayes, Middlessex, England.
Also others are a black label…no RCA….they say Victor Talking Machine Co….Camden, N.J.
any info would be appreciated
Thankyou,
Peter Toso
It sounds like English pressing is an SB rather than LSC record. Check this web site for the others or:

do you have list for rca 45-silver label 1930??thanks d
I have a Shaded Dog pressing of the 1943 Horowitz/Toscanini/Tchaikovsky recording (LM-2319) (G2RP-0618/0619) that I can’t seem to find anything about – here on this site. I have all the technical info from over on Discogs.com but was wondering if your site had any information similar to this about the Shaded Dog Mono labels and/or pressings. Thanks.
