I have a black box set of this on the red label RCA Red Seal. The libretto booklet is the 24 page SKIRA that has this inscription on the back page:
“This book was designed by Albert Skira for the Soria Series of The RCA Victor Record Division Radio Corporation of America and printed
in Switzerland at the Skira Color Studios Lausanne of this First Edition – Completed
August 1st 1959 – A Limited Edition of 1000 copies was printed ‘Carton Albâtre Blanc Neige’

Second Printing October 1959”

The back of the box on the hinge has this:
Mfd. by RCA
New York, N.Y.
Printed in U.S.A.

My take on this is that it is indeed an older 1959 box (although black instead of red) with re-issue flex Red Seal records in it (late 70’s maybe?). I bought this used at a flea market so I am not sure if RCA reissued the records and put them in the 1959 boxes with the SKIRA libretto booklets, possibly leftovers, too.
Anyone have any idea what happened here? Thanks for any input.
Steve
