Too bad the baton is missing.

I’ve never seen one with the baton. Has anyone else?

Hi, bassoroma. Welcome to the site! I haven’t seen one with the baton either. Still looking! I did see the instruction booklet in this one. Pretty entertaining.

I got one one with baton (and the Deems Taylor leaflet on conducting) for about $12.00 a few years back. It was the mono version. I just ordered the stereo version (baton/leaflet missing). I wanted a copy of the music in stereo.

My mom had a copy years ago, and my favorite piece was “Sabre Dance”

The baton is painted white at the large end (about the first 3″) and just above that are the words “YOUR RCA VICTOR BATON”

At present, these LP’s with baton and leaflet seem to be commanding from 80 to 100 dollars.

I purchased my Music For Frustrated Conductors this year on EPay for a reasonable $25. Came with booklet and baton. Happy hunting.

I had one forty years ago and used the baton to conduct rehearsals for a number of years. I never replaced the lp though.
