Feb 2nd, 1955 in two-track stereo ..recording session using AMPEX-351’s. First stereo recording of Heifetz, whom actually hated stereo since he thought stereo sounded so fake and unreal since there was no “center sound’ – just left and right..he called it “hi-fi phooey!”
